- Wine Tasting
- The entire Central Coast has great wineries, but the most known regions are Paso Robles and Templeton
- Fishing

Saltwater fishing is great for rockcod, halibut and salmon. Charter boats are available out of Avila / Port San Luis as well as Morro Bay. Freshwater fishing at the local lakes is great for bass and panfish.
- Hiking

There is tons of open space on the Central Coast, which means tons of hiking trails from beginner to advanced. Popular trails include Bishops Peak, Madonna Mountain and Pismo Preserve. View more trails here

Many golf courses are found on the Central Coast, including popular areas like Nipomo, San Luis Obispo and Paso Robles.

Sailing is popular out of Avila Beach / Port San Luis as well as Morro Bay. Both harbors have a yacht club with active members.
- Kayaking

Morro Bay is a great protected harbor for kayaking. Port San Luis (Avila Beach) also is a great protected area and kayak rentals are available.
- Mountain Biking

Mountain Biking trails are all over the Central Coast. The most popular are Montana De Oro (MDO) and West Cuesta Grade. A good list of trails can be found here

Morro Bay is a great protected harbor for paddle boarding or using a SUP. Port San Luis (Avila Beach) also is a great protected area.
